Our Events

StrITwise

StrITwise® is the School of InfoComm Technology's flagship competition organized for secondary school students. The annual StrITwise® Challenge is a broad-based infocomm and interactive digital media competition that aims to develop awareness and interest in infocomm technology in a fun and engaging way. It provides a conductive platform for the secondary school students to acquire new skills through hands-on training workshops and challenging activities that promotes teamwork and competition sportsmanship.    

Food from the Heart Donation Drive

Food from the Heart is an independent Non-profit organisation Singapore Food charity reaching out to the less-fortunate and brightening their lives by alleviating hunger through a food distribution programme. The ICT community service department hosts these events to encourage stunts to give back to the community . Students can participate in the event by becoming a student volunteer for the greater good.student committee that organizes events and activities for the School of ICT, and is involved in flagship events such as Red Camp and Open House, as well as other school-wide activities. Students get to work in different committees to plan and execute their own ICT Camps and last but not least, be part of an awesome team and family. It is a platform for the leaders of the future to be nurtured and primed. Students in ICT have a strong sense of duty to the school and the community instilled by ICT Society's foundation built on R3ICG values; Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Integrity, Compassion and Gratitude. Students will be given opportunities to grow and further enhance their character and skills.    

E-Student Investiture

The student investiture is an annual event where we honor the contributions and send off our Year 3 members, also to welcome our new EXCO, committee, and society members. Our graduating seniors would then hand over the mantle to the new EXCO of ICT Society.

Overseas Immersion Programme

Students have an opportunity to undertake broadening module in a different cultural setting, gain an insight into host country's ICT industry and business operations. They also get to immerse themselves in the host culture and economic landscape.

Year 1 Familiarization Programme and Bonding Event

Due to Covid-19, School of ICT has been conducting full HBL (Home-Based Learning) for our lessons. These events are aimed to allow students from their respective classes to get to know their classmates better so that they will be able to integrate into the class when school resumes F2F (Face to Face) lessons.

Youth Expedition Programme

YEP is a National Programme to develop youth who are able to work as a team, develop youth with strong convictions about their roles and obligations towards the community.

ICT Society
ICT society is a student committee that organizes events and activities for the School of ICT, and is involved in flagship events such as Red Camp and Open House, as well as other school-wide activities. Amphibistudio

Amphibistudio is studio led by students dedicated to creating explosive fun, emergent gameplay productions using a  studio-based approach to guide students towards being industry ready as they design and develop their project. We host gaming sessions as well as workshops related to game design and immersive media.

NullSec

NullSec is a Cybersecurity Interest Group in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. We are a community that specialises in Cybersecurity, holding cybersecurity workshops as well as teaching our members on technical skills. Apart from hosting workshops, we also send our members to participate in Capture-The-Flag (CTF) competitions such as World Skills Singapore and Interpoly CTF.

Orion

ORION is an outreach and publicity special interest group that reaches out to secondary school students, introducing them to the world of infocomm through challenging and engaging activities. The School of Infocomm Technology flagship event StrITwise®, Amazing Race and Hackathons were some of the events the student leaders conceptualized, planned and executed over the years. In addition, ORION members also conducted trainings at secondary schools, sharing their knowledge of programming, robotic process automation, augmented reality to the secondary students. To give back to the community, ORION members also organize toy drives across NP where they collect, clean and wrap new and pre-loved toys to share with the less privileged children identified by Food from the Heart at their annual Toy Buffet.

Overflow

Overflow is a tech interest group that serves as a platform for students passionate in technology to share and exchange knowledge with one another. We are a supportive community that brings together students interested and passionate in technology, and is organized and led by our very own members. Our activities include weekly workshops, participating in national and international competitions, attending events, and organizing events as well. Our workshops cover a wide range of topics, from learning different programming languages, to learning robotics, understanding theories and much more. We have carried out boot camps on artificial intelligence, participated in the World Robot Olympiad and attended events like Google meetups as well.
